Say No To Minimum Wage
I got a new job today! The process was surprisingly quick: I went in for an interview (mind you I was nervous af!), he asked me several questions, we discussed conflicts & issues, and then he assigned me the days I’d start working. I really do think I belong in a profession where I get to interact with children. While I was searching for jobs, I was particularly drawn to positions associated with child care, tutoring, or camp leaders. As much as I enjoy retail therapy, I don’t think I’m suitable for working in that department. I am so excited to work with Ethan, and the location is several minutes away from my very first home coming into Canada. Port Coquitlam is a very sentimental and nostalgic neighborhood that rests closely in my heart, so I think tutoring a child close to my first home will bring back many cherished memories, which is a definite plus. Depending on the progess of Ethan, I may have the chance to work with his little brother, Carlo, who is autistic. I have never worked with an autistic child but I fully intend to give this opportunity a shot. After work at Kumon, I was quite restless due to that fact that I had been running on five hours of sleep from the arrival of my parents from Hong Kong. Today has been exhausting, but rewarding.
All in all, who doesn’t love kids? After all, they are the orgasm of life.
Got my naval pierced today! I seriously can’t believe how little it hurt. Maybe I have high pain tolerance? But if I knew that it was this quick and easy I would have done it earlier without hesitation! :) Hehehe, another activity to tick off my summer bucketlist… TOLD YOU F WAS FOR FEARLESS! Oh and I also watched The Dictator tonight, it was funny as hell! Everyone should go watch it if you’re in need of a good laugh :) Sasha Baron Cohen is a comedy genius… but sometimes I question how far he’ll push his movies before he gets sued. I mean, this movie was controversial and racist in every possible way. I bet he was thinkin’… Fuck it, #YOLO!
